This ayah from Surah Al-Imran (3:173) was spoken by the believers when word reached them that their enemies had gathered in great numbers against them - and rather than shaking their resolve, it deepened their faith.

Al-Wakeel is one of Allah's ninety-nine names - the Disposer of Affairs, the Ultimate Guardian. Not simply a helper, but the One entrusted to see a matter through to its end, who carries what we cannot. To say hasbunallah is not to withdraw from effort. It is tawakkul: to act fully, then place what remains beyond our hands into His - a quiet strength for whatever we cannot carry alone.
